Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

An aircraft transporting the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet touched down following standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This occurrence isn't the first time that a American defense plane transporting a high-ranking official has suffered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was required to turn back to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
