The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has substantial social media presence
Kai Trump can count on plenty of prominent supporters when she begins her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns numerous golf courses and often matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she stated.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just stay calm."
"He essentially advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she added.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
Yet she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's an even better human being. He told me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation helps introduce the sport to wider groups, especially reaching younger fans.
The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
