The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the knell for Microsoft's gaming division. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content about PlayStation as a new development. Last year proved to be a period of total upheaval for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox still intends to attract subscribers with strong games on its key platform.
The Current Inclusions
The duo of games that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of horror and action."
Intriguing Niche Additions
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Robust Selection of Games
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription alone. Yet, this selection are rock solid. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they deserved the first time around — which makes them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
